Batt. Chief Sok, Lt. Rigda, FF/EMT Greenhaus, and FF/EMT Sloan, along with firefighters from Western Wake Fire Rescue, Franklinton Fire Department, Knightdale Fire Department, Hopkins Fire Department and Rolesville Fire Department, all completed the three-day class taught by Instructor Jason Jordan from The REDS Team. All students successfully completed the skills using friction devices, figure 8 descenders, ascending a rope, using prusiks as safety devices and break bar racks for rappelling operations, self-rescue, and victim rescue.
Due to the pandemic, all students wore masks in class, and socially distanced as best as possible.
